Identify a culture, community or country that you feel is misunderstood, misrepresented or underrepresented. Create a typography-led campaign to express your chosen culture or community in a relevant way. Use the power of type to spark a conversation, evoke better cultural understanding and celebrate diversity.
In a series of five posters, the Common Thread project emphasizes Americans’ shared values of perseverance in the face of adversity. It is a way for Americans to stand up and unite against the divisive political rhetoric that has spread. In collaboration with Humans of New York, Monotype will connect the perspectives of Americans with very different backgrounds to show how they are connected through thread typography.
